About this event
When dead and dying crabs and lobsters suddenly appear on beaches across Teesside, veteran fisherman Stan Rennie becomes the unlikeliest of environmental activists. Taking on the authorities like Mr Bates with a Northern accent, Stan, with his fisherman’s gallows humour, is irresistible as he navigates a post-Brexit world of grief and change in this tenth feature from Teessider Jeanie Finlay. This screening includes the short film BAISANOS (14 mins), and is followed by a Q&A. Dir. Jeanie Finlay | Runtime 99 min | UK | 2026
