Radical Motion: Give Me Space – ConfiCo dance workshop
📅 Friday 3 July · 10:30-10:30
About this event
Join ConfiCo for an inclusive dance workshop, as part of Radical Motion – a new disability dance festival for Folkestone, hosted by Confidance. In this workshop, ConfiCo will share creative tasks and exercises that were part of the devising process for their new show – Give Me Space. Give Me Space is a bold new dance piece, inspired by ConfiCo’s lived experience of learning disability. This workshop is designed for people with and without learning disabilities. No prior experience is required – just a curiosity to learn more and move together! During the workshop, you will learn more about the themes and ideas in the show. This is an opportunity to understand more about how ConfiCo’s contemporary dance performances are made. Confidance workshops are a welcoming and supportive space, celebrating individual creativity and fostering community connection. You can expect great, feel-good music and a session that is held by warm, highly-trained facilitators. Why not stay for the matinee Double Bill, where you can see Give Me Space performed live! The event will include a performance from Mind the Gap, a leading disability theatre company. To book your ticket to the matinee performance, click here.
